The EKATI Emergency Response Team conducts weekly safety training in a variety of areas, including Surface Mine Rescue, Underground Mine Rescue, Fire Fighting, Rope Rescue and Environmental Emergencies.įederal sub-grants are received from the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency for course delivery in Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations, Technician levels I and II, Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue, and National Incident Management.Īdditionally, our graduates receive certificates in Vehicle Extrication, Hazardous Materials First Responder, Firefighter Survival, Rescue Systems I, Fire Control III and Low Angle Rope Rescue.
